It is natural, in times of tight budgets, to ensure that government programs give a real bang for their buck. But as the current administration and Congress dedicate themselves to saving taxpayers’ dollars, we urge them to think twice about cutting the programs that, well … save the taxpayers’...
If it were called the “forfeit American jobs” bill, no one would support it.
“Cutting programs in half is not balance. It’s disastrous.” While the threat remains very real, a Senate appropriations bill moving more slowly through that chamber would largely protect efficiency programs.
As technology advances, so does Samsung’s ability to bring to market the innovations that meet the needs of consumers. Across the vast spectrum of our product lines, from mobile devices to televisions to washing machines, energy efficiency is always in demand.
A wildly successful energy conservation program is slated to be cut in the new administration’s budget – a move that would prove detrimental to colleges and universities and the students they serve.
As word spread that the budget blueprint would do away with a voluntary program as popular and successful as ENERGY STAR, we leveraged our alarm into a call to action.
