As Chair of the Energy Efficiency Global Forum’s International Steering Committee, I am looking forward to welcoming many of you to Copenhagen May 21-22.

Ports are using more energy and spending more money on it than they would if they adopted electrified equipment. These two ports are showing the way to an electrified future.
Roughly 5 percent of electrical energy is lost during transmission and distribution. Microgrids can save energy by minimizing those losses -- and they bring several additional benefits.
Energy efficiency is transforming from an important, but perhaps detached, set of goals, activities, regulations and outcomes designed to reduce costs or protect natural resources. Now energy efficiency is integral to the new technologies, systems and solutions we develop and deploy.
