3 Reasons You Should Submit a 2016 Efficiency Award Nomination

 

To submit a nomination for this year’s Star of Energy Efficiency Awards, visit our nomination page and provide a nomination by April 1, 2016.

 

The Alliance to Save Energy invites companies, organizations and individuals to enter the 2016 Star of Energy Efficiency Awards competition. This prestigious award honors those entities and individuals who have demonstrated a significant and tangible commitment to the cause of energy efficiency.

Read on to learn why entering the competition is worthwhile:

1. Winners’ projects will receive a national spotlight

Winners’ projects and accomplishments will be highlighted on national outreach platforms through Alliance-produced releases, blogs, social media and more. Finalists in each category will also be announced on the Alliance to Save Energy’s website and receive recognition for their nominations.

2. Winners will receive a complimentary ticket to September’s Star of Energy Efficiency Awards

The ceremony, to be held in Washington, D.C., will be an excellent opportunity to network and meet other industry influencers as well as to help spread the word about your organization’s projects or initiatives.

3. The Star of Energy Efficiency Awards encourages friendly competition and innovation

Friendly competition is good for the entire energy efficiency community, encouraging innovation and progress in the industry.

How do I nominate an individual, company or organization? Nominate individuals, organizations and companies here.

When are nominations due? Nominations are due April 1st, 2016

What categories of awards are available? There are two types of awards, and sub-categories within those awards. They are:

Star of Energy Efficiency Awards

Awards will be presented in recognition of demonstrated leadership and innovation in the following sectors: 1) Buildings 2) Transportation 3) Power Generation and Supply 4) Industry/Manufacturing 5) Innovation

Rising Star of Energy Efficiency Awards

Two awards will be presented to individuals with impressive energy efficiency accomplishments and strong leadership qualities. One award will be presented in one of each grouping: 1) Young professional (under 30) 2) College or graduate student

Where will the event be held? This year’s awards will be presented at the 24th Annual Evening with the Stars of Energy Efficiency Awards Dinner on Thursday, September 22nd at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.
