How to participate
Three ways to bring energy learning to students.
Tell us your role and community through the Education Team contact form. The Education Team will discuss program availability, fit, support, and the steps for a local launch.
Teachers
Build an EmPowered team through a class, club, lunch period, or after-school group.
- Identify a teacher team leader and the grade level or student group.
- Share your school, district, location, and preferred timing.
- Use the curriculum, videos, activities, and web platform with guidance from a local project leader where available.
The program is designed for minimal teacher preparation and hands-on student work.
Ask about a classroom teamSchool districts
Bring grade-specific energy learning and student-led conservation projects to multiple schools.
- Identify district curriculum and facilities contacts and the schools or grades of interest.
- Discuss local energy goals, student opportunities, and implementation capacity.
- Ask the Education Team about local support and eligibility. ASE education programs may be available at no cost to eligible schools where education partners support participation. Schools outside currently sponsored territories can contact the Education Team to explore other ways to work with ASE.
Funding partners
Utility companies and philanthropic foundations are our primary funding partners, investing in energy education, community engagement, STEM learning, energy efficiency, and career pathways in the communities they serve.
- Strengthen community relationships and increase awareness by supporting meaningful energy education in the communities you serve.
- Work with the Alliance to develop a tailored program that may include energy fundamentals, efficiency, school energy audits, demand response, and career exploration.
- Partner with the Alliance on school recruitment, program implementation, and outcome reporting.
