This Wednesday, October 2, is the fourth annual Energy Efficiency Day! EE Day is a great chance for you to join thousands of others to spread the message about energy efficiency. Want to show the world that you care about energy efficiency on Wednesday? Here are a few things you can do.

Because of a simple mistake in the law, companies will start to pay a de facto penalty in 2020 to upgrade their facilities to be energy efficient – unless Congress acts to fix the problem.

A new coalition of countries, businesses and international organizations – called the Three Percent Club – committed at the UN Climate Action Summit today to drive an annual three percent global improvement in energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency’s work is needed more than ever in the face of the climate crisis and the challenges of energy affordability. But with our fast-expanding toolkit, our concept of energy efficiency needs to evolve to encompass new technologies. We call this opportunity Active Efficiency.

This Smart Neighborhood integrates high-performance homes, energy-efficient systems and appliances, connected devices, and a microgrid on a community-wide scale for the first time in the Southeast. Alabama Power explains what it does and how they made it all work.

We asked 2019 Star of Dynamic Efficiency, Pepco Holdings, to explain how they developed and instituted their programs to help customers save money and energy during peak energy usage periods. Here's their story.
