Join Leaders in Energy, Research, Communications, Policies, and Analysis (LERCPA) for Leaders in Energy’s Four Generations: Leadership in Clean Energy and Sustainability Holiday. LERCPA will recognize leaders from World War II (1927-1945), Baby Boomer (1946-1964), Generation X (1965-1980), and Millennial (1981-2000) generations who exemplify leadership in the energy and sustainability arena. Leaders from each generation will discuss the theme “Leading Through Adversity."
Shira Harrington, Founder and CEO, Purposeful HireFounder and President, Purposeful Hire, is the keynote speaker for this event. She will explore the changing world of work and the impact multigenerations are having on the workforce. Building on the understanding of what makes each generation unique, Shira will highlight how the four generations can embrace what they have in common to work together to create a more sustainable world.
Clean energy and sustainability recipients of the Leaders in Energy 4 Generation Award, representing the World War II, Baby Boomer, Generation X, and Millennial generations, will share their stories on how they have overcome adversity on their path in achieving successful energy and environmental innovation and impact. The leaders will explore how the challenges changed their organization, impacted the community, and how they found new approaches to meet these challenges.
2015 4 Generation Awardees:
- World War II/Traditional Generation Awardee – Bill Holmberg, American Council for Renewable Energy (ACORE)
- Baby Boomer Generation Awardee – Robert L. Wallace is the CEO/Founder, BITHENERGY, Inc.
- Gen X Awardee – Sonia Punjabi, DNV GL, industry expert in international environmental sustainability, green buildings, energy efficiency, zero energy, and high-performance buildings
- Millennial Generation Awardee – Timi Komonibo is the founder of a start-up called Style Lottery.
