The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled “Engaging Building Occupants to Reduce Energy Use.” Learn how Better Buildings Challenge partners Michigan State University (MSU), Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and Transwestern have done just that. Lynda Boomer will share how MSU's Environmental Stewards program enlists champions from individual campus units or departments to track monthly energy metrics, promote energy-saving practices, and serve as liaisons to MSU’s sustainability program. Jon Utech will explain how the Cleveland Clinic Foundation is partnering with clinicians to smooth the way for technology upgrades and implement behavior-change strategies aimed at reducing energy and water consumption.  Dorothy Schwarz will speak on how Transwestern has developed a number of programs to encourage commercial building tenants to reduce their energy use.
