Speed-to-power is the currency of the modern energy sector. How can regulators support capacity buildout to serve large loads while protecting grid reliability, sustainability goals, and ratepayer affordability?
In this working session we will discuss the โBring Your Own Distributed Capacityโ (BYODC) framework crafted by the Alliance to Save Energy and The Ad Hoc Group as a potential solution to tackle this challenge. Participants will focus on how to turn the BYODC concept into action. The group will vet concrete design requirements, operational characteristics, and regulatory considerations with the goal of developing realistic regulatory pathways that support state and utility goals while enabling stakeholders to move from BYODC theory to deployment.
Space at this event is limited. Please RSVP to reserve your place.
This event is not sponsored by NARUC nor is it a part of the agenda for NARUC's Winter Policy Meeting.
