Welcome Back for the 2019-2020 School Year

Welcome Back for the 2019-2020 School Year

The Alliance is expanding its partnership with New Jersey Natural Gas and South Jersey Gas to roll out it’s fifth year of PowerSave Schools (PSS) in New Jersey! This year’s programs will include 42 new schools, bringing the program to a total of 75 schools throughout the state.

We are proud to continue our strong relationship with Sustainable Jersey in supporting our shared goals in K-12 education, as well as a close collaboration with Eco-Schools. These joint ventures will allow schools to take on energy efficiency while gaining points toward state and national recognition for their sustainability efforts.

New for the 2019-2020 PSS year is the addition of the emPowered online platform. This portal gives both students and staff access to an interactive web platform that guides activities, streamlines program implementation, provides immediate feedback, and serves as a medium for communication. All lessons, follow-up activities, materials, and data tracking will be accessible in real time. The program also allows schools to benefit from one another’s experiences and engage in friendly competitions as they lead their schools’ efforts.

Application dates have JUST been extended to August 31, 2019.
