Tyra Metoyer Joins Alliance to Save Energy as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

Washington, D.C. — The Alliance to Save Energy (ASE) has hired Tyra Metoyer as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships bringing in a proven executive with nearly three decades of executive leadership experience spanning energy, higher education, technology and nonprofit sectors.
In this role, Metoyer will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive partnership strategy to advance the Alliance’s mission, strengthen stakeholder engagement and drive sustainable revenue growth. She will work closely across ASE’s membership, education, and policy teams to help expand strategic collaborations that help advance policy positions, deepen member value and educate people about the benefits of efficiency.

Metoyer is widely recognized as a connector and coalition builder who excels at aligning mission with execution. Throughout her career, she has led high-impact initiatives focused on workforce development, stakeholder engagement, external mobilization and organizational effectiveness. Her work has supported millions of dollars in fundraising and partnership development across national organizations, higher education institutions and community-based initiatives. Tyra’s demonstrated leadership in grassroots coalition building was cultivated through experience in state and national political campaigns.

Prior to joining ASE, Metoyer served as chief operating officer of STEM NOLA and STEM Global Action, where she led operations, partnerships and program execution to expand access to high-quality STEM education and workforce pathways for students and communities across the country.
A Louisiana native, she holds a master’s degree in community development from Prairie View A&M University, a bachelor of journalism degree in public relations from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a doctoral candidate in Higher Education Administration at Texas A&M University. Tyra is a Senior Fellow and former board member of the American Leadership Forum (ALF) – GulfCoast, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a founding board member of National Urban League Young Professionals, past member of a number of non profit boards, and very active in her community as a member of several national scholarship review boards and a trustee of the Mt. Rose Church of God in Christ.
