Rebuilding America invites you to participate in a one-hour webinar to discuss how smaller cities can take advantage of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Building Challenge. The discussion will revolve around the importance of energy efficiency contractors to success in the Better Building Challenge; the successes of big cities like Atlanta through the Better Buildings Challenge and the lessons they can impart to smaller cities; and what smaller cities like Portland, Maine have achieved and what more engagement with the Better Building Challenge might be able to provide.

Rebuilding America is a broad-based coalition of labor, business, utility, manufacturing, and policy groups that seek a robust, self-sustaining energy efficiency industry that will cut the energy waste in 50 million U.S. homes and businesses by 2020.  In Atlanta, we helped to lay the foundation for the city to become the highest-ranked city in the Better Building Challenge. Our Jumpstart Chicago program did just as the name suggests, sparking energy efficiency investments in many of Chicago’s commercial buildings. We are currently working at the federal level and in multiple states to advocate for and defend the type of sound energy efficiency policies that support a vibrant economic future.
