Great Energy Efficiency Day (GEED) is a must-attend event for anyone working at the intersection of energy efficiency and policy – not just for in-depth discussion of the latest issues and remarks from national leaders in the field, but for unbeatable networking with stakeholders from business, industry, government, and academia.
This year, with climate change emerging as a central point of discussion in the 116th Congress, GEED 2019 will zero in on energy efficiency’s role as a practical, bipartisan solution, providing an important platform early in the year to highlight its impact and share ideas on how it might be deployed. The agenda will feature compelling discussions about energy efficiency’s role as the single most effective strategy we have for reducing carbon emissions as well as its tremendous potential for creating jobs and economic activity, driving U.S. productivity and innovation, and improving resilience and reliability.
We'll hear from our keynote speaker Assistant Secretary Daniel R Simmons (Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, U.S. Department of Energy). Following keynote remarks, we'll hear from our industry experts: Kevin Self (SVP of Strategy, Business Development, and Government Relations, Schneider Electric), Doug Johnson (VP Technology Policy, Consumer Technology Association), Justin Koscher (President, Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association), and Steve Wright (General Manager, Chelan Public Utility District), moderated by Katherine Hamilton (Chair, 38 North Solutions).
Directly following GEED, we'll host our Unsung Hero Awards Reception where the movers and shakers of energy efficiency will gather to honor the public servants working hard behind the scenes to advance energy efficiency. Stay tuned for more information and a full agenda. Contact MaryAnne Tatum for any questions.
