In close cooperation with the Climate Action Summit, the European Union is organizing this flagship climate action event to highlight and promote the green economy as a formidable transatlantic opportunity for economic growth, innovation, and climate action. This one-day conference is scheduled for Wednesday May 4th, 2016, and will take place at the world-famous Newseum in downtown Washington DC.
By organising the Going Green conference at the beginning of the Climate Action Summit, the EU brings a particular focus on the critical role played by the EU and the U.S. in securing the Paris Agreement and on the need for a strong transatlantic partnership to ensure its successful implementation.
