The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Building America Research Tools: Field Test Best Practices, National Residential Efficiency Measures Database, and BEopt" on Wednesday, March 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) staff will provide an overview of Field Test Best Practices, a web-based tool for field experiments and long-term monitoring of residential building systems. This overview will include content structure, demonstrate key features, and introduce a new discussion forum. NREL staff will also present the National Residential Efficiency Measures Database, a centralized resource of residential building retrofit measures and costs for the U.S. building industry. Additionally, the BEopt (Building Energy Optimization) tool will also be discussed, including opportunities for builders to improve their home designs by finding the best efficiency measures for their climate and budget.
