President

As president of the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA) since 2021, Aimee Skrzekut and the SEEA team work to optimize the use and impact of energy to enhance quality of life across eleven Southeastern states. She engages in strategy, development, stakeholder engagement and deep partnership to offer policy and program solutions which advance SEEA’s vision that all people in the Southeast live, work and play in healthy, resilient buildings, have access to clean and affordable transportation and thrive in a robust and equitable economy https://www.seealliance.org/ .

A dynamic leader with more than 25 years’ experience, serving non-profits, Aimee has a diverse background leading regional energy efficiency work, serving cooperative and other utility partners. She served as a management consultant specializing in strategic planning, fundraising, policy development, innovative resource and program design. She has also created energy efficiency program solutions and delivered the inaugural statewide beneficial electrification conference, Electrify Indiana for Hoosier Energy. Aimee also served as director of programs at the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, where she became hooked on energy efficiency through her collaboration with national and regional partners like SEEA. Aimee’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion extends well beyond her work in energy, having led a national center at the American Bar Association (https://www.linkedin.com/in/aimeeskrzekut/).

Aimee served as a member of the Beneficial Electrification Advisory Council and is a member of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership. She has served in leadership for Touchstone Energy, as an AESP chapter president and HealthConnect One board member. She has supported fundraising efforts at nonprofits including HealthConnect One, Project Bona Fide, Habitat for Humanity and Teatro Vista.

Aimee received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Illinois.
