This conference aims to address aspects of energy policy at a time of unprecedented flux, with a particular focus on the transatlantic arena. The conference links local and global, with an opening panel on energy policy in Virginia, the home of George Mason University, one of the conference sponsors. Panels on the second day will move from the general to the specific: from a discussion of global energy policy trends and developments, to discussions about the extent of convergence or divergence between the U.S. and the EU on a range of energy-related issues; to prospects for transatlantic cooperation on fighting climate change.
