In 2014, the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity launched the 2xEP program with a two-day Forum that introduced the energy productivity model. And now, at the end of the first phase of the program, we present the Energy Productivity Summit. We aim to recap our work over the last couple of years, demonstrate the case for energy productivity and map the road to implementation and 2xEP by 2030. The program covers four key themes:
> leadership - business and government, global and local;
> innovation - the next wave, with a focus on value chains;
> integration - efficiency + renewables + intelligence = productivity;
> implementation - doubling energy productivity.
A2EP has a great record when it comes to bringing people together with ideas. Beginning in 2012 and 2013, the southern hemisphere Summer Study took the best of the American and European formats, added some local flavour and moved this three-day residential event to Manly. The 2016 Summer Study, run in partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Futures, was a great success. You’ll find complete archives here.
