EE Noon: Back to School with Energy Efficiency

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Alliance to Save Energy Headquarters
1850 M St. NW, Suite 600
Washington, DC 20036

Energy costs are an enormous expense for U.S. schools – approximately $6 billion each year. In many schools, energy costs are second only to personnel costs, exceeding the cost of textbooks and supplies. Through programs like the Alliance’s PowerSave Schools and PowerSave Campus, students and schools are empowered to make energy efficient choices.

Join the Alliance to Save Energy as Thomas Schneider, Manager of Energy and Operational  Efficiencies at the North Penn School District, and  Avis Ransom, Technical Analyst at Morgan State University, discuss the importance of energy efficiency programs from kindergarten through college. We’ll also be joined by Gene Rodrigues, Director of Customer Energy Efficiency& Solar at Southern California Edison, as he covers the importance of investing in school-based programs under both resource acquisition and market transformation rationales. Get ready to go back to school with the Alliance to Save Energy!
