The Policy and Programs Committee meets with the Alliance Policy and Research Team in order to develop annual programs and projects that further objectives of the Alliance’s strategic plan and mission. Typically, meetings consist of Policy and Research Team Members briefing committee members on the issues of the day, a congressional staffer presenting on a current “hot button”, followed by discussion and formulation of policy positions to present to the Alliance Board for approval.

International Committee

The role of the International Committee is to provide guidance to Alliance staff on the scope and execution of international programs and projects, and to work with Alliance staff to develop strategies for new international activities and initiatives. The Committee meets three times a year at the Alliance’s offices in Washington, DC; there is a call-in option for those who cannot attend in person.

The Dinner and Awards Committee provides guidance and oversight of the Alliance’s annual “Evening with the Stars of Energy Efficiency” Awards Dinner.
