Legrand: Energy 2030 Case Study
Energy productivity has been a priority at Legrand for over 4 years. From 2010 through 2013, Legrand engaged in many different projects across their sites to improve their energy productivity. The company ultimately achieved a 32.26% energy intensity reduction as part of their commitment to the Better Buildings, Better Plants Challenge, a U.S. Department of Energy Initiative. You can learn more about these projects on their Energy Efficiency Success story page and their U.S. Department of Energy Profile Page.
Legrand has now set a goal to improve their energy intensity even further; by an additional 25% by 2022 at all of their North American sites.
Last year, Legrand received the 2013 IETC Energy Award from the Industrial Energy & Technology Conference for their energy intensity reduction and their commitment to a transparent journey.
