Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA)

The Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) is a not-for-profit organization that actively promotes the development of sustainable energy in the Asia Pacific region. APUEA is designed to serve as a platform to collect and disseminate knowledge, best practices, and tools related to the development, financing, and implementation of sustainable urban energy systems, and thereby support the development of liveable cities in the Asia Pacific region.  Specifically, the APUEA provides:

  • Information about the diverse, country-specific structures of the urban energy sectors in the region;
  • Intelligence and guidance on financing opportunities (both equity and loans) in the region;
  • Direct access to governmental bodies, local utilities and other stakeholders in the sector; and
  • Continually updated information on market trends and business opportunities in the region.

Through its web portal, publications, conferences, and tailored events, the Association also provides outlets for sharing international and regional best practices and innovations related to planning and implementing sustainable urban energy systems—including policies and regulations, business models, and technologies. The Association acts as an information hub and convening organization that supports its members, city policymakers, program managers, and other stakeholders.
