Industry Networks has launched a series of energy meeups across the US that bring together researchers, startups, industry experts, corporations and investors. Our aim is to develop a network of local energy networks that both meet in-person on a monthly basis and are tied together through the Industry Networks platform. The goals for the group are: 1) to educate by presenting unique keynote interviews; 2) to help meeting participants solve short term “needs & asks”, 3) to provide a platform for researchers and entrepreneurs to present their ideas; 4) to expand one’s network beyond their local ecosystem and; 5) to help startups raise money through our unique crowd-funding model consisting of the technology crowd we are establishing. Our initial series of events are scheduled for DC, Philadelphia, NJ, Boston and El Paso. The link to our meetup invitation is: bit.ly/1txoddR Our speakers for the first event are David S. Rose of Gust and Ryan Feit of SeedInvest discussing crowd-funding, which is relevant for all people interested in startups, regardless of their technology sector. I am also attaching the Press Release that discusses our initiative.
