Sam Friedberg

Manager, Research and Analysis
As Manager of Research and Policy Analysis, Sam researches and analyzes trends, technology, and policy relating to energy efficiency, with a particular focus on virtual power plants. Prior to joining the Alliance, Sam worked on energy and environmental issues for several years, both on Capitol Hill, political campaigns, and as a freelance journalist. After graduating with degrees in Political Science and Public Policy and Administration from James Madison University, Sam served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar from 2017 to 2019.
