Comprised of the Dow Building Solutions and Dow Construction Chemicals businesses, Jane currently leads Dow Building & Construction, which houses a rich portfolio of expertise, technologies, products and services to bring solutions to customers in construction industries worldwide.
Jane began her career as a Reliability/Design Engineer at General Motors after graduating from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout her nearly 20 years with Dow, she has held a variety of positions in marketing, sales, new business development and business operations across several Dow businesses including Dow Automotive, Dow Specialty Chemicals, Dow Coating Solutions and Dow Solar.
Jane is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE); she served on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of America, the Board of Trustees for the Chemical Education Foundation (CEF), and is an executive corporate committee member at The Franklin Institute. Jane was recently named Industry Co-chair leading the Alliance to Save Energy’s (Alliance) Board of Directors. This appointment makes Palmieri the first woman to hold this post. Palmieri has been recognized for her contributions in Crain’s Detroit ’40-Under-40’ Award in 2005, and by Automotive News Magazine’s ‘100 Leading Women in Automotive.’
