James W. Gardner
Jim Gardner is the former chair and eight-year commissioner on the Kentucky Public Service Commission (2008-2016). During his tenure, he supported energy efficiency, renewable energy and other distributive energy projects. He was active in NARUC, serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, Chair and Co-Vice Chair of the Energy Resources and Environment Committee, Chair of the Task Force on Environmental Regulation and Generation, and Co-Chair of the “Utility of the Future in a Carbon Constrained World” conference. He taught energy efficiency and demand side management concepts to regulators from the Republic of Georgia, Jordan, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Jim is an attorney and consultant assisting companies with clean energy regulatory issues.
