Greg Bergtold is Business Advocacy Director for The Dow Chemical Company. Bergtold is the global business leader and industry focal point for building advocacy and policy development for Dow Building & Construction, green building and sustainable development, energy efficiency advocacy and outreach, structural building code development, and strategic alliance to the Dow Energy Efficiency Portfolio Platform. Additionally, Bergtold is a Business Portfolio Management Team member responsible for business development and growth innovations within Dow Building & Construction.
Bergtold has been at the Dow Chemical Company for almost 29 years, starting with the company in 1990. Prior to his current role starting in 2006, he served as Senior Development Leader, New Business Development (2.5 years), Project Leader for Technical Services & Development (7 years), Operations Supervisor (3 years), and Environmental Projects Manager (4 years).
He specializes in advocacy and policy strategies, building code development, trade organization leadership, new business development, construction engineering, energy efficiency, sustainability in design, and portfolio management. After almost 29 years with the company, Bergtold is at the forefront of new business and policy development for Dow; he upholds Dow’s mission to passionately create innovation, helping to create business and advocating policies for the 21st century.
A native of Michigan, Bergtold previously worked as a project engineer and manager for Helger Construction Company, after attending the University of Detroit Mercy.
