Doug Faulkner

Founder and President

Doug Faulkner is the Founder and President of Leatherstocking LLC, a clean-technology strategic advisory firm as well as a co-founder of Jacob’s Ladder Energy Group, which helps houses of worship cut their electricity, gas and water bills.  For over twenty years he has led efforts in government and business to promote global energy efficiency and renewable energy.    

Doug served for almost three decades in the federal government at the Departments of Agriculture (USDA) and Energy (DOE), and the Central Intelligence Agency.  His service included leadership positions during the George W. Bush Administration as DOE Acting Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and USDA Acting Under Secretary for Rural Development.

Doug holds a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Illinois and a M.A. from The Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies.  He also was a Rotary International scholar at the University of Singapore.
