Support Senate Proposal for FY2019 Appropriations for the Department of Energy in Conference Negotiations

Dear Energy Efficiency Advocates:

We need your help to protect funding for vital energy efficiency programs at the Department of Energy! Last month, the House and Senate passed separate spending bills covering federal energy efficiency programs at DOE, and we are now at a critical part of the process as the two chambers must reconcile the differences between them. Collectively, the Senate proposal would increase funding for these programs by 1 percent, while the House proposal would cut funding by 10 percent. Please urge your Members of Congress to support the Senate proposal!

We are asking for your help now because the two chambers have appointed negotiators, who will be meeting soon to determine final funding levels. This is the last opportunity we will have to influence what funding levels are included in the final package that goes to President Trump.

We have made it easy for you to reach your representative and senators: simply fill out the form below and you will be taken to a pre-drafted letter, which you are free to edit as you wish (or leave as-is) and submit electronically to your Congressional delegation. It takes just a few minutes.

As always, we appreciate your help in building support for these critical programs on Capitol Hill!
