Terry McCallister

Terry D. McCallister is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of WGL Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Washington Gas. He also serves as Chairman and CEO of Washington Gas, the natural gas utility serving over 1,000,000 customers in the Washington metropolitan area and surrounding region.

Prior to his election as Chairman and CEO on Oct. 1, 2009, Mr. McCallister served as President and Chief Operating Officer of WGL Holdings and Washington Gas. He joined Washington Gas in 2000 as Vice President of Gas Transportation.

Mr. McCallister plays an active leadership role in the natural gas industry and the community. He serves on the board of directors for the Gas Technology Institute (a research company for the natural gas industry), the leadership council of the American Gas Association, and the board of the Southern Gas Association. He also serves on the board of the Greater Washington Board of Trade.

Mr. McCallister gives willingly of his time to charities. He is chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. He is a member of the board of directors for Northern Virginia Family Services, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Inova Hospital Foundation. Additionally, he has also served as the gala chairman for the District of Columbia Youth Orchestra Program.

Mr. McCallister holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering management from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

He and his wife live in Alexandria, Va.
