EE Global 2012 proved to be yet another  "creme de la creme" of energy efficiency conferences. Leaders and innovators from across the world gathered in Orlando to make energy efficiency an "all of the above" answer to improving our environment and economy.

EE Global 2012 proved to be yet another "creme de la creme" of energy efficiency conferences. From March 27 to 29, leaders and innovators from all over the world gathered in Orlando to build networks and discuss ideas for advancing energy efficiency worldwide. A major theme throughout the conference was using energy efficiency as an "all of the above" solution to improving our environment and economy.

Declaring “It’s time we started growing our economy by stopping energy waste!” Alliance to Save Energy President Kateri Callahan applauded the bipartisan bill at a Capitol Hill press conference. The bill, introduced by Reps. David McKinley (R-W.Va.) and Peter Welch (D-Vt.), would provide financial incentives that empower Americans to stop wasting energy in their homes.

On April 4, 2012, Facebook, Opower and NRDC launched an app that allows you to compete with your friends to save home energy.

In its first campus energy competition, Howard University students reduced overall energy use by 14% in its participating dorms, out-saving fellow competitors at American and George Washington Universities in the Alliance to Save Energy’s “D.C. Campus Challenge: How Much Can You Power Down?” competition.
