Vira Illiash

Vira Illiash joined the Alliance in 2009 as the Public Relations Manager for the USAID Ukraine Municipal Heating Reform Project. In addition to managing this project, Vira now also directs the Alliance’s branch office in Ukraine.

Vira has more than ten years of public relations (PR) experience, covering the full spectrum of PR planning and management, as well as the development and implementation of national-scale information campaigns in Eastern Europe.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Vira served as PR Manager for a Ukraine-based project implemented by Research Triangle Institute. She also served as communications manager for the American International Health Alliance, where she covered communications and outreach activities in Eastern European countries.

Vira has a master’s degree in international journalism from the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kiev.
