Judy Weiskopf has been a Senior Program Manager at the Alliance to Save Energy since November 2012. She provides general efficiency education development assistance to refine trainings, curriculum and programs. Judy comes to the Alliance with 26 years of classroom teaching experience in Texas and California, mainly at the elementary and middle school levels, with some college teaching experience. Although Judy has taught all subjects, she has focused on teaching science. She holds lifetime teaching certification in Elementary (1st – 8th grades) General Education / All Subjects, and Elementary English in Texas and a provisional teaching credential in Elementary General Education in California. While teaching in Southern California, Judy started an energy audit program at her school, added energy education to the science program, and served on several campus committees. She also helped organize and plan meetings for a local group of elementary and middle school science specialists. Additionally, she has taught many professional development offerings for teachers and pre-service teachers, mostly focused on science or technology. As an active member of NSTA, Judy has served on various conference committees, presented at area and national conferences, and led their sponsored trips to the Galápagos Islands.
