Heather joined the Alliance staff as a Human Resources Manager in March 2011. Her role at the Alliance is to manage the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. Heather will carry out the responsibilities in the following functional areas: department development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits and compensation, organization development, and employment.

Heather has over 10 years of experience in functional business areas such as Human Resources Management and Customer Service.  Prior to joining the Alliance, Heather served as a Human Resources Generalist with a Rockville based Pharmaceutical company, where she managed the day-to-day and Strategic management of the Human Resources department.  Heather also worked for Giant Food Inc. for 14 years where she served in Customer Service as well in Payroll and Human Resources.

Heather has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland, University College and a Bachelors of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park. Heather is also a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
