In her capacity as Executive Vice President for External Communications and Operations, Gail Hendrickson manages the Alliance’s corporate, communications and marketing initiatives, including oversight of all publications, website content and public relations campaigns. Gail also manages the special events team, which stages annual dinners and summits and hosts the EE Global conference. She also supervises the administrative, IT and human resource functions of the 60-person organization.
Gail has been working in Washington, D.C., since 1989. She previously served as the Alliance’s Vice President of Corporate, Communications and Government Relations where she managed the Alliance’s corporate, communications and marketing initiatives and oversaw a robust public policy program, which seeks to ensure that energy-efficiency policies and programs are supported at the federal, state and local levels. During her first year at the Alliance, Gail was the director of transportation.
Before joining the Alliance, Gail served since 1998 as the Vice President of the Electric Drive Transportation Association, a Washington, D.C.-based organization that promotes the development and use of battery, hybrid and fuel cell vehicles in the U.S.
Prior to that, Gail served as the Associate Director of the Electric Transportation Coalition, promoting policies and programs at the federal level that spur the development, demonstration and commercialization of electric modes of transportation in the United States.
Gail was a legislative professional for the Washington, D.C., law firm of Van Ness Feldman. Van Ness Feldman specializes in energy-related issues before Congress and the administration. In this capacity, she conducted advocacy efforts for both the Electric Transportation Coalition and the Clean Coal Technology Coalition.
Gail received her bachelor's degree in English from the University of New Hampshire in 1986.
