Cosimina Panetti

Cosimina Panetti joined the Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP), a joint initiative of the Alliance to Save Energy, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, and the Natural Resources Defense Council, in 2001 and supports the organization’s nationally recognized efforts to assist states and local jurisdictions in enacting and implementing strong and effective building energy codes.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Cosimina spent more than 20 years working in different aspects of building energy engineering in both the private and public sectors. Cosimina supports BCAP’s mission through advocacy, technical assistance, outreach and coalition building. She has given numerous educational workshops, testimonials, and energy code advocacy presentations throughout the country and abroad. Cosimina has worked in rallying and supporting public and private stakeholders, resulting in far-reaching acceptance and awareness of the value of energy efficient building codes as good public policy.

Cosimina is a certified energy manager, business energy professional and certified sustainable development professional, accredited through the Association of Energy Engineers. She is a LEED accredited professional and holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York Institute of Technology.
