Colleen Butterfield is a Program Associate on the Education Team and began working for the PowerSave Campus Program in March 2013.  She serves as the campus lead for UC San Francisco, UC Santa Cruz, Humboldt State University and Chico State University PowerSave Campus teams, training and supervising student interns that implement energy efficiency projects on their campuses. She works out of the Alliance to Save Energy’s Oakland, California office.
 

Colleen has gained professional experience working for both non-profit organizations and various institutions of higher education in the sustainability and service-learning fields.  She is also an AmeriCorps alumnus where she led university students in service projects in the community for 3 years in both Rhode Island and Oregon.  Colleen has also worked remotely with college students in 18 states in the Southeastern region of the U.S. on energy literacy and efficiency projects.
 

Colleen received a B.A. in Integrated Studies: “International Social & Environmental Justice” from CSU Monterey Bay. She is also beginning a MBA program with a focus on Renewable Energy through Marylhurst University in Spring 2013.
