Arlene Fetizanan, Senior Program Manager for International Programs, specializes in policy and project development; communications and outreach; energy efficiency and climate change solutions; government relations; and account management.

Arlene has managed projects in the Caribbean, Central America and Africa. She is responsible for researching energy efficiency best practices and developing energy efficiency plans, toolkits and best practice training curriculum. Her work has focused on designing mechanisms to increase energy efficiency investment in buildings and identifying municipal cost effective energy conservation measures.

She has also worked with cities of varying demographics and needs and has experience working on urban planning proposals and projects subject to redevelopment, transit oriented development, economic revitalization and affordable housing.

Arlene was one of five inaugural Clinton-Orfalea Fellows chosen to work with the William J. Clinton Foundation. At the Foundation she worked with the Clinton Climate Initiative’s Energy Efficiency Building Retrofit Program team, where her duties included delivering technical assistance on retrofit building trends, structural and financial incentives and planning practices.

Prior experience includes working at Kissinger McLarty Associates, a strategic advisory firm (now McLarty Associates), where her portfolio consisted of assisting Fortune 500 clients in the energy sector and international trade in Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East, and working at the Edison Electric Institute, where she conducted utility market research.

Arlene has lived in Shenzhen, China, and worked for the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design. She has a master of planning degree from the University of Southern California and a bachelor's degree in economics and international studies from American University.
