Alliance to Save Energy - Promoting Energy Efficiency World Wide: Programs: Green Schools: Green Schools in Action: Pennsylvania Green Schools

More than 20 schools are participating in the Philadelphia Green Schools Program this year. A workshop held in early October featured integration of the American Institute of Architects' Architecture in Education Program with the Green Schools Program. Students from the two pilot schools participating in this project learned the basics of High Performance Design and made models of a high performance renovation or a new school.

The Philadelphia Green Schools Program is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Rebuild America, and the Sustainable Development Fund. Green Schools participants include:
