In cooperation with coalition partners and our Associates, the Alliance is an established national leader in energy policy. The Alliance to Save Energy policy staff actively educates the government, media, and other important constituencies to raise awareness of energy efficiency as an important way to improve the economy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants, and strengthen energy security by increasing reliability and reducing dependence on imported energy sources.
The Alliance aggressively supports measures that help consumers and homeowners, businesses, the federal government, and low-income Americans save energy. Issues that the Alliance works on include: appliance standards, funding for federal energy-efficiency programs, federal energy management, tax incentives for energy-efficient buildings and equipment, vehicle fuel economy, and utility energy efficiency.
