Great Energy Efficiency Day

Great Energy Efficiency Day

The 2008 Great Energy Efficiency Day (GEED), which took place on April 16, was by all accounts the most successful in Alliance history with record breaking attendance and an unparalleled speaker line-up! Over 350 industry professionals and congressional staff gathered on Capitol Hill to hear keynote addresses from five members of Congress, and to learn about energy efficiency’s role in mitigating climate change and combating energy demand and growth in multiple sectors.

Launched in 2004, the Great Energy Efficiency Day has quickly become a “must attend” discussion on the need for, and benefits of, energy efficiency, drawing more than 400 stakeholders from business, industry, government, academia, the media and the public interest sector. The event features the leading energy voices in energy efficiency addressing timely issues and provides insight from Capitol Hill with keynote addresses from congressional members.
