energy efficiency is good for business

This document showcases excerpts from selected recent studies – many by groups and organizations that are traditionally considered to be conservative – about the need for, and benefits of, energy efficiency policies and programs. The excerpts are accompanied by information on the organizations and links to the full reports or other materials.

The reports are organized by sectors – national and international business organizations, energy sector organizations, industry trade associations, defense organizations, economic and financial organizations, and policy and scientific organizations – to help guide readers to source materials of greatest interest.

The intent of this document is to raise awareness of a diverse set of facts and voices that can be referenced and cited when building the case that energy efficiency can and must be a central pillar of sound national energy policy.

The Alliance has designed this as a “living document” to be updated as new and important reports detailing the economic, energy security and jobs benefits of energy efficiency emerge.

The compilation will be updated quarterly and the author invites suggestions for inclusion.
