Representing the Australian Government’s Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency at the Alliance's October 2010 Efficient Lighting Phase-In Webinar, Director for Lighting and Equipment Efficiency, Mel Slade discussed Australia’s campaign for its 2007–2010 lighting transition.The campaign successfully addressed consumer concerns about Australia’s 2009 phase-in of efficient lighting through point-of-sale education consisting of the catchy “Change the Globe” slogan and colorful graphics that answered common concerns.
