Obama underscored his commitment to develop every available source of American energy while ensuring the safe and responsible production of our oil and natural gas resources. In 2011, the United States was the world's top investor in clean energy. To maintain this top position, the president calls on "smart, aggressive action moving forward" in this blueprint.
