International Program
The International team provides technical and financing assistance, policy advocacy, and information sharing services to governments, multi-lateral organizations, corporations and consumers worldwide.
The International Team builds coalitions with key stakeholders and works with local partners around the world to implement programs that create lasting improvements in energy efficiency. Drawing on the expertise of the Alliance’s U.S.-based staff and its offices in India, Mexico, South Africa, Armenia, and Ukraine, the Alliance has carried out international programs in more than 30 countries and in every key energy sector.
The team assists governments at the national and local levels in policy making by helping to prepare efficiency legislation and strengthening institutional capacity to implement policies and programs; and by documenting best practices, and organizing international exchanges to showcase and share them.
Alliance experts have designed and carried out international projects focusing on energy efficiency in the areas of water supply and treatment, transportation, industrial and commercial energy efficiency, municipal energy efficiency, and municipal financing, and have carried out information campaigns and education programs in numerous countries.
Our work features international exchanges, capacity building, policy making, and best practices. The sectors we focus on include water, transportation, industrial energy efficiency, municipal energy efficiency, and municipal financing.
