Consumers’ Search for Right Energy-Efficient Window Now Easier Than Ever, with ‘Window Product Selection Tool’ on Revamped Web Site of Efficient Windows Collaborative
Washington, DC, November 18, 2004 – Consumers will find it easier than ever to select just the right window or skylight, thanks to a new tool on the popular, educational web site of the Efficient Windows Collaborative (EWC), a project of the Alliance to Save Energy.
In a two-step process, the EWC web site takes consumers from climate-specific information on choosing energy-efficient windows to the new “Window Product Selection Tool,” which shows consumers which window and skylight products available in the market meet their energy-efficiency specifications.
“We’re very happy to be able to offer consumers this new resource that will make it even easier for them to select the right products to make their homes more attractive and comfortable while lowering their energy bills,” said Alliance Director of Market Transformation Kate Offringa. “With a new design, the already comprehensive EWC website is now even more helpful and usable for consumers seeking location-specific advice on the selection of energy-efficient windows for their homes.”
The EWC provides timely and accurate information and advice on residential windows and skylights for each region of the country.
