Alliance to Save Energy Launches Redesigned Website Aimed at Seven Major Audiences, Establishing Its Global Energy Efficiency Leadership
Washington, DC, July 20, 2004 - The Alliance to Save Energy has launched a completely redesigned, revamped, and overhauled website, reflecting its expanding programs and global leadership in the energy efficiency field. Its rotating images are designed for a high tech/high touch feel - energy efficiency working for people.
The website can be navigated in four ways: by audience, program, country, or topic. It includes links from the homepage to areas customized for key audiences, including consumers, educators, policymakers, energy professionals, media, Alliance Associates, and contributors.
A menu bar at the top of the homepage provides a quick way to:
- Get background information about the Alliance;
- Learn about Alliance programs;
- Tour the more than two dozen counties where the Alliance has partners and is helping to establish energy-efficiency programs and policies;
- Investigate appliance and equipment standards, buildings, windows, federal energy use, and other topics and programs on which the Alliance works;
- Get the latest Alliance news coverage and news releases and sign up for a daily energy news digest; and
- Find out about upcoming energy-related events.
A 'Search' box at the top of the screen on each page allows a comprehensive search of the site by keyword.
Other innovations are a dramatically expanded consumer area, a new Spanish-language resources page and the Alliance's first web page aimed at tweens.
