Daimler Benz’s Dave Bryant will join us Tuesday to discuss efficiency and Daimler Trucks freight vehicles. He will focus on Daimler Trucks’ commitment to sustainable production and key factors – both technological and behavioral – that help to reduce the fuel consumption and emissions of their products. Dave will cover the latest EPA greenhouse gas emission regulations and how Daimler Trucks is helping its customers meet these, as well as see financial returns from the improved fuel economy of their fleets. He will also provide an outlook on the future of fuel efficiency, including Daimler's latest technological innovations in the highly efficient “Supertruck” prototype.
Dave Bryant is a Vocational Sales Manager at Freightliner Trucks, a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America, specializing in hybrid, alternative fuels, and truck integration in vocational markets. He has worked with Freightliner, both as an employee and supplier representative, for the past twelve years. He began his career in the commercial vehicle industry in 1989 as a Test Engineer, and has held various roles in Powertrain and Body Engineering. Dave earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington. In his spare time, he enjoys distance running, mountain biking, motorcycling, and outdoor activities.
The Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY) is pleased to launch our fifth annual online webinar series. This year’s series will continue Blueprint for Efficiency, with an emphasis on the latest developments and opportunities for energy efficiency in the private sector. Through weekly presentations from leaders in the corporate, non-profit, and public-private arenas, we will explore a range of topics around energy efficiency.
