Tom Bowman is founder and president of Bowman Design Group. For over twenty years the company has been helping corporations and cultural institutions define and tell their stories through exhibitions, events, multimedia, and print communications.
In 2007, Tom decided to test the business case for implementing a climate change response plan based on energy efficiency and reduced energy consumption. The result: Bowman Design Group received a 2009 CoolCalifornia Small Business of the Year Award for demonstrating a 65% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and substantial costs savings at the same time.
Recognized as one of the nation’s premier experts on climate change communication and green business strategies, Tom’s expertise comes from working with the country’s top climate and energy scientists when he led award-winning climate change and energy efficiency exhibition designs for the Marian Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences and Southern California Edison.
