Steve Hilton is chairman and CEO of Meritage Homes, a NYSE‐traded national homebuilder with more than 65,000 homes built coast to coast. Meritage is ranked among the top ten homebuilders in America with annual revenue in excess of one billion dollars. Under Hilton’s leadership, Meritage has repositioned its homes to appeal more to entry‐level and first move‐up buyers, and has positioned the company to further grow its market share and outperform the homebuilding industry in terms of profitability during the recovery. Hilton serves as a director on the board of Western Alliance Bancorporation, and Banner Alzheimer’s Foundation. He has been actively involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, Arizona, the Home of Miracles benefiting Children’s Miracle Network, the Phoenix Suns Charities and The King David School. Hilton is also a member of the NAHB High Production Home Builders Council.
Hilton has been honored as Entrepreneurial Fellow by the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona and also holds a B.S. in accounting from the U of A.
