Known for his energy and determination, Congressman Zach Wamp serves with seniority as a member of the influential House Appropriations Committee. Using conservative principles, he has established himself as a leader on national issues like alter native energy, preventive health care and global security.

Congressman Wamp is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs and has served for 10 years on the Energy and Water Subcommittee. Building on regional assets in the Tennessee Valley, Zach was instrumental in forming the Tennessee Valley Technology Corridor in 1995. Zach currently serves as co-chair man of the 221member Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus, founder and co-chairman of the Congressional Fitness Caucus, co-chairman of the Congressional Robotics Caucus, and republican Policy Committees energy policy leader.

A Chattanooga native, Zach spent twelve years as a small businessman and commercial real estate broker before being elected to Congress.
